Networking Priority at Business Scene Event

Expressions such as, ‘Feast famine cycle,’ ‘Influencers are nice but they don’t get you traffic,’ ‘Leverage your site to get more traffic,’ struck a cord with me as Sarah Arrow – Blogger and Mum spoke this morning at Warren Cass, Business Scene event held at the Metro Bank HQ in Holborn.

But what really made an impact for me was not only the networking opportunity but also this quote, ‘Build your content on land that you own.’ Meaning, by all means use Facebook, Twitter and all the other social media platforms but make sure your website is your main focus because at least you own the contents.

There was mention of, ‘A kebab and dead pigeon story,’ that was never told but I thought the 2 hours spent listening, chatting, eating and networking was well worth my time and effort.
